Florence : At what time of the movie are you taking care of the transport problems ?
Alain : It depends of the movie. The habit, if you want,when we are shooting in France,is to organize ourselves alone between us, and hire trucks, with our own people driving them .
Florence : something like a habit ?
Alain: the reflex is there, because unless you have a specific problem with something rather special to transport, let’s take for instance this movie « SOINS COMPLETS », it’s a good example of a specific need to make a special transport of motorbikes until the south of France. At the beginning, it was the matter of hiring a 20M3 truck and load the motorbikes in. Suddenly you find us a solution, it ‘s great, you optimise for us a truck, it more than 10 motorbikes that are loaded with the material, that avoided the team to hire vehicules locally, and it should have been more expansive. If I had to care myself of this transport, I should have called more than 4 or 6 different forwarders who should not have answered me because it was specifical. It’s a typical problem about which, if you should not have been there, we would have problems to find the good people and organization able to solve the problem.
Florence : ok, this is for movies shooted in France. What about movies abroad ? .....
